## Common questions

### Who can help my parent with scam calls and texts in Vancouver?

Jeyki Security offers a senior scam defence session for older adults in Metro Vancouver, in their home or by video. It covers the scams going around right now, role-plays likely calls, sets up a family safe word and turns on spam call and text filtering. It is a flat C$149, and family members are welcome to join.

### Where can I get help after a scam in Metro Vancouver?

Call your bank first, then the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre on 1-888-495-8501 and your local police non-emergency line. For the technical clean-up, Jeyki Security offers a post-scam cyber cleanup for a flat C$179: securing affected devices and accounts, checking for signs of access and a written list of who to notify. A slot is offered within 48 hours and most cases work remotely.

### Do you come to my home?

Yes. In-home sessions are available across Metro Vancouver, including Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, the Tri-Cities, the North Shore, New Westminster, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Video sessions work anywhere in BC.

### How much does personal cyber safety help cost in Vancouver?

Every session is a one-time flat fee in Canadian dollars, agreed up front: C$149 for a scam defence session, C$149 for a digital recovery kit, C$179 for an account security review, C$179 for a post-scam cleanup and C$249 for a full family setup. There is nothing recurring and no software to buy.

### Can you get my money back after a scam?

No. Jeyki Security does not recover money, contact scammers or investigate who did it. Banks, platforms and police handle those parts. Be wary of anyone who offers to recover lost money for a fee, which is a common second scam.

### Is it just one person?

Yes. Jeyki Security is one person, Ashwin Charathsandran, working with individuals and families on personal devices and accounts. You deal with the same person from the first email to the written summary, and you type your own passwords.

## Why people book a person, not an app

You deal with me from the first email to the written summary. I explain each step before I do it, you type your own passwords, and I never keep them. I don't recover money or chase scammers: banks and police handle that, and I tell you who to call. [More about me](https://jeyki.ca/about).
